Enterprise Surveillance Architecture and Design
Large-scale video surveillance for transit and public infrastructure is fundamentally different from standalone CCTV installations. When a commuter rail system spans multiple counties, stations, and maintenance facilities, the surveillance architecture must account for hundreds of cameras, distributed recording, centralized management, network bandwidth constraints, and retention policies that vary by location and regulatory requirement.
Enabled Consultants approaches surveillance architecture with that complexity in mind. The firm has direct experience with Milestone XProtect environments, having supported the Metrolink station and facility video surveillance system implementation. That project involved configuration and commissioning of the video surveillance system across a large commuter rail network, including integration with the security data network and network monitoring system. It was not a simple camera install; it was enterprise surveillance work that required coordination across network, software, and operational teams.
