PROJECT_01
COMMUTER RAIL / SURVEILLANCE / SYSTEMS INTEGRATION

Metrolink Station / Facility Video Surveillance System Implementation Support

Enabled Consultants provided configuration and implementation support for Metrolink's station and facility video surveillance expansion, including integration of the Milestone XProtect environment with the new security data network and network monitoring system.

Scope

Network configuration, systems integration, commissioning, and implementation support for a large commuter rail surveillance environment.

Highlights

Configuration and commissioning of the video surveillance system, plus implementation and integration with the network monitoring system.

Project context

Metrolink operates across a large multi-county rail network, making this work materially different from small standalone camera deployments.

PROJECT_02
COMMUTER RAIL / FIBER / DWDM / SECURITY DATA NETWORK

Metrolink Security Data Network Design

Enabled Consultants designed a high-capacity security data network to support Metrolink's expanding voice, video, and data transmission needs, with the network specifically intended to support surveillance growth and operational performance requirements.

Scope

Network design for a new high-speed, high-capacity communications environment supporting surveillance and security systems.

Highlights

Fiber optic expansion, DWDM-based capacity growth, and improved resiliency and switching flexibility across the security data network.

Project context

The security data network carries all voice, video, and surveillance traffic across the Metrolink system. Architecture decisions at this layer directly determine surveillance reach, system performance, and long-term capacity.

PROJECT_03
WIRELESS / MM MICROWAVE / BACKHAUL / NETWORK ENGINEERING

High-Speed Wireless Backhaul Link

Enabled Consultants provided design engineering services for a millimeter wave point-to-point backhaul link spanning approximately 6.5 miles between Colton and Hunter Park Station. The engineered solution used the Siklu EH-8010FX to deliver a 10 Gbit/sec full-duplex wireless connection supporting high-bandwidth applications across the rail corridor.

Scope

Millimeter wave backhaul design, line-of-sight analysis, network path design, mounting and alignment specifications, and coordination with local infrastructure stakeholders.

Highlights

Resilient, low-latency 10 Gbit/sec full-duplex wireless link engineered for constrained fiber conditions and high-bandwidth data transport.

Project context

Millimeter wave point-to-point was selected where fiber extension across an active rail corridor was operationally constrained. The link was designed to sustain full 10 Gbit/sec throughput under the clearance and alignment conditions of that specific right-of-way.

PASSENGER INFORMATION / SOFTWARE / SYSTEMS ENGINEERING

Los Angeles Union Station Customer Information System

Enabled Consultants supported customer information system work at Los Angeles Union Station, combining systems integration and software-oriented implementation support in a public-facing transportation environment where reliability and coordination directly affect operations and the rider experience.

Scope

Systems integration and software development support within a complex passenger information environment.

Highlights

Software-oriented implementation within a public-facing operational environment, alongside systems integration with existing station infrastructure.

Project context

Los Angeles Union Station is the primary multimodal rail hub for Southern California, serving Metrolink, Amtrak, and Metro daily. Passenger information reliability at this scale has direct, measurable operational consequences.

OPERATIONS SUPPORT / STAFF AUGMENTATION / PROGRAM DELIVERY

Operational Support and Staff Augmentation for Active Programs

Enabled Consultants also supports active transportation and infrastructure programs through backoffice assistance, technical coordination, staff augmentation, and operational support workflows that help agencies and project teams stay responsive after systems go live.

Scope

Issue intake, technical coordination, communications support, and dependable follow-through where project delivery and day-to-day operations meet.

Highlights

Sustained technical presence through the operational phase of active programs, covering issue intake, triage, and coordination after initial deployment.

Project context

Transportation programs require ongoing support after systems go live. Operational involvement at this level reflects the full scope of what the firm delivers — from initial design through sustained program support.

Scope of experience

Work across multiple technical domains.

The work spans communications infrastructure, wireless backhaul, surveillance systems, systems integration, software-enabled applications, and active program support — each delivered within the coordination and documentation requirements of large public-sector programs.

Prime contractors and agencies evaluate partners on technical credibility, delivery reliability, and the capacity to contribute across multiple scopes without introducing coordination overhead. These projects reflect that standard.
